Hello, thank you for dropping by! My name is Yumi, an illustrator based in Illinois.

My journey of exploring art has probably begun in my childhood. I grew up in the quiet countryside of Gifu, Japan, adventuring around farmyards and forests. Every summer my parents took us a week-long camping trip and we did sketching at places that we passed by! This sketching habit didn’t stop till my 20’s when I traveled through Europe.

Currently I work as a freelance designer, mostly focusing on web design and illustration. I love drawing animals and nature that evoke a sense of comfort and smile to people’s faces. When I’m not at my desk, you’ll find me walking in the nearby forest, working on my  garden, or sitting in the quiet corner of a coffee shop nearby.
